Adventure centre makes us its Charity of the Year A Shropshire adventure centre has kicked off a year of fundraising after making us their Charity of the Year. PGL Boreatton Park, near Baschurch, will be helping to raise money through 2025 and Abbie Shakeshaft, the Centre Operations Administrator said they were delighted to kick start the year with a bake sale – which has raised nearly £180. “Our purpose at PGL is to enrich young people’s lives,” she said. “We believe everything Hope House does supports our values and it is a charity close to so many people, and as a centre we want to raise as much as we can to support say thank you.” As well as the bake sale the have lots planned for this year, including joining the charity’s £50 Challenge, a raft building regatta and some of the staff have signed up to join or volunteer at some of the events, and one member of staff will be running the Zurich Marathon. Our fundraiser Bethan Young said: “We’re thrilled to have the support of PGL Boreatton Park and are so grateful for all their incredible support.
