Sell-out charity cookbook for Welsh children’s hospices We would like to give a standing ovation to our friends Choirs For Good as their latest fundraising venture continues to thrive. The network of community wellbeing choirs had chosen our hospices (along with Cardiff’s Tŷ Hafan) as their adopted charities of the year and have been supporting and raising funds in many ways since April. Cookbook Earlier this year they released Choirs For Good Food – a cookbook with contributions from top chefs and celebrities such as Ainsley Harriott, Aled Jones, Bryn Williams, Georgie Grasso, and even Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales. The book was a sell-out success raising £3,500. But now, thanks to some generous funding, a second print-run has been released and is on sale now. They will be soon hosting a series of festive fundraising concerts and even a pop-up shop for people to buy a copy of the book in person. In the swing Our fundraiser, Vanessa Marubbi, commented: “Choirs For Good really do make an impact in the community.” “It’s no wonder their book was such a great success as it’s packed full of great recipes, stories and memories. “We’re so grateful that they have chosen us as their charity of the year along with Tŷ Hafan. “The local groups have been fundraising for us since April and have even helped get many of our events into the swing with their uplifting tunes. “We are so looking forward to their upcoming Christmas concerts.” Live You can catch your local branch of Choirs For Good on the following dates: Friday 5th December, Llanidloes Rugby Club, 7pm, £5 Thursday 11th December, Holy Trinity Church, Aberystwyth, 7pm, £8 Thursday 18th December, St Giles Church, Wrexham, 7.30pm, £10 All tickets available from here Llandudno’s Ty Gobaith charity store on Mostyn Street, will be hosting a pop-up shop selling copies of Choirs For Good Food between 1-4pm on Saturday December 6th.
