Earlier this year we sent a text inviting every family whose child is registered with Hope House or Tŷ Gobaith to take part in an online survey.

We asked you to tell us about your experiences accessing our services, what our services mean to you and what you thought we could do better.

Thank you so much to the 66 people who responded, and to the 19 who agreed to a further more detailed interview.

You can see the key results of the survey here:

Delivering the Care Ambition

Everything that you told us will be reflected in our ‘Delivering the Care Ambition 2026 – 30’ which sets out how we will deliver our Purpose, address inequalities in service, and adapt to your evolving family needs over the next five years.

Thanks to your feedback we have a better understanding of barriers that families face to accessing support and some services at the right time, and can implement strategies to reduce those barriers.

And we have heard what matters most to you like trust, honest conversations and connections with our staff and with other families who truly understand what you are going through.

If you would like to speak to us about the survey, or about how you can be involved in providing feedback in the future, please do not hesitate to call Kate Maw, our Head of Quality and Assurance, on 01691 671999 or email [email protected]

The Family Voices 2

At the beginning of 2026 we will be contacting families in Wales, whose children use our services, as part of a joint project with Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice in South Wales.

The Family Voices 2 survey will look specifically at the barriers to accessing hospice, health and social care services in Wales and what families feel would help overcome them. The results of the survey will be launched at the Senedd in June 2026 and will be used to help define future services.

Families who don't currently use the hospices will also be invited to contribute via the All Wales Palliative Care Network and Community Nursing Teams.
