We wish to thank Cllr Mel Buckley of Flint for her generosity.

Having recently completed her year as Mayor, Mel decided to split the total of her charity work between ourselves and Ysgol Pen Coch special educational needs school in Flint.

She held many activities such as a weekly coffee morning and raffles which raised a brilliant £2,14034p.

Our Flintshire area fundraiser, Nicky Eyes went to visit Mel and receive her generous cheque and said: "Huge thanks to Mel for being a loyal supporter and so kind as to select us to be the recipient of the funds .

"We support many children and families from Flintshire who are living with a life-threatening condition. Mel's gift will help us on our mission to provide high quality nursing and respite care for them.
