Physio Dean to take on Morocco Trek Hope House physio Dean will be taking on a five-day trek across Morocco to help raise money. Dean has been working with children and families for more than two years and became a full-time physiotherapist last year. He decided that he wanted to raise money and that take on the charity’s Morocco Trek in May with his friend Shaun Morris was the perfect opportunity. “Being a physiotherapist at the hospice means I see first-hand the difference donations and money raised makes to the children and families that we care for. “This will be a good driving force which will certainly keep me going when doing this trek,” he said. Sponsor Dean and Shaun Dean will be joining a group of intrepid trekkers as they embark on an exhilarating seven day trip into the heart of Morocco and the Atlas Mountains including reaching the summit of Mt Toubkal at a whopping 4,167m. “This year I really wanted to do something to raise money for the hospices,” said Dean. “I enjoy hiking, need to improve my fitness and see this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to achieve all three things! “I have now re-joined the gym and I think there will be many training days on the stair stepper. “Along with Shaun I also have a quite a few hikes planned back to back prior to flying out there which I am hoping will prepare us for it.” There are still place available to book on the trek which is from May 15th to 22nd. Registration for the trek is £300 plus a minimum sponsorship of £2,000 and includes flights and accommodation. Join our Morocco Trek Manage Cookie Preferences
