We are mid-way through our Let’s Do Dinner fundraising campaign and people in the area have been hosting and toasting at some great parties in both their homes and local restaurants.

Recent events in Mold and Corwen were enjoyed by local Friends of Hope House Tŷ Gobaith groups at local restaurants.

There have been some notable events in the area that have proved a great success and brought out some real creative thinking.

Hog Roast

The Craft Beer Cave in Penrhyn Bay, Conwy hosted a hog roast attended by 120 people that raised £2,900 through generously supported raffles, games and donations.

Over in Shropshire, Embers restaurant owned by well-known chef Adam Purnell, hosted a full-house evening of fine food and fun with generous diners raising a brilliant £3,295.

Fundraiser for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith, Vanessa Marubbi said: “We’re absolutely overjoyed with the response and are enjoying seeing the pictures and supporting our kind hosts and guests with their events.

“The free fundraising packs have everything you need to make your dinner party a success and we’d still love to help with more events.

“Our Friends groups and kind restauranteurs have been amazing in raising this great sum so far.
