Dr Who collectibles donated to Oswestry shop A sci-fi treasure trove of Dr Who collectibles has been made to our shop in Oswestry. From models of the Tardis and Daleks, to the various Time Lords and villains there is a whole cabinet of limited-edition collectables now on sale. Penny Price, the shop’s manager, said: “A gentleman came in with this wonderful collection and said, ‘you’ll get a bit for these’. When we opened the bags and started sorting through all I said ‘wow’. “It’s always fun when you get these quirky and different donations, and there has already been plenty of interest, so if you’re into your Dr Who then come down and take a look.” The whole collection has been valued in the region of £350, although the collectables are for sale individually between £5 and £20. Hope House Children’s Hospices has 14 shops across Shropshire, Wales and Cheshire and last year customers and donors helped to raise raised £851,000. Penny said: “Every purchase and every donation in our shop makes a life-changing difference. “When you shop with us or donate your pre-loved items, you’re helping children create precious memories, find joy in everyday moments, and live their very best life.” As well as shoppers and donors, the charity’s shops rely on dedicated volunteers like Ross Dyer. “The team are so friendly here, it's a little family! I love coming in for my volunteer shifts every week," he says. We're always really excited to welcome new volunteers into our shops. Start volunteering Find your local shop Manage Cookie Preferences
