A brilliant £37,224 has been raised so far by imaginative businesses and kind individuals across the area.

64 teams took part in our £50 Challenge during March and April. Our fun event sees us give a £50 investment to people taking part who are then tasked with multiplying the amount by as much as they can in 50 days – and what’s more there’s still time to sign up your team!

This year has seen a 50-mile sponsored swim, a 36hr computer game streaming marathon, a high-end drinks hamper raffle and even a Bongo Bingo evening.

From estate agents to toyshops and colleges to catering establishments, the communities of North Wales, Shropshire, Powys and Cheshire really got behind our hospices who support over 750 local children and families living with a life-threatening condition by providing free respite, bereavement counselling and professional nursing care.

Area fundraiser for Hope House Ty Gobaith, Bekki Fardoe said: “We are delighted to have raised almost £40,000 so far with our £50 Challenge!

“This has been our best year yet with 64 teams taking part from across Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid & North Wales.
