Myles' mum Georgia will be pulling on her running trainers and running the Chester 10K to raise money this Spring.

Myles was born with a genetic life-threatening condition 4H Leukodystrophy, which is thought to affect only 120 children in the world, and have been supported by Hope House for the last few years.

Georgia says: “So many children with this condition die between the ages of eight and 10 years old.

“The doctor confirmed Myles had a severe form and did lots of neurological testing. Every child is so different so you don’t really know what the future holds.”

Myles' Story

“The hospices really our lifeline and have been there for us whenever we need them,” says Georgia.

“I know there is always someone I can talk to at any time and I don’t feel alone. We come for respite care and Myles always has such an amazing time when he visits, whether it’s going in the pool or the special soft play area.

“I wanted to do this run to raise money and give something back for this place which has done so much for us.”

Georgia, 27, has been in training  and taking on Park Runs to get ready for the Chester 10K on March 9th.

“I’ll be thinking about Myles with every step and he’ll be my inspiration for sure,” she says.

Georgia has so far raised more than £1,000 in sponsorship for her run but wants to raise as much as possible before taking on the challenge.
