Our supporter Teresa Upton was one of our lottery winners in early March and first received the good news through the post.

Teresa, who lives in Frodsham, has been playing our weekly lottery for almost 12 years when she won her first prize - the £1,000 jackpot.

Wonderful surprise

Teresa said: “It was a wonderful surprise.

“I told my husband first as he was home too when the post arrived.”

Teresa signed up for our lottery outside a local supermarket and had been playing two lines a week at a cost of only £8 per month.

Shortly after her lucky numbers came up, we contacted Teresa by phone to congratulate her.

“I said to the lady on the phone that I thought I’d been playing for a couple of years but she told me I’d been playing since 2013.

“I plan to donate some back to charities I support and share the rest with my two grown up sons and husband to treat ourselves a bit.”
