We welcome the Welsh Labour manifesto commitment to fair funding for children’s hospices in Wales.

We have long called for a sustainable funding solution in Wales. Families deserve certainty about the services they rely on and our ambition is to reach a position where Welsh Government funding meets 30% of agreed care costs by 2030. We urge other Welsh parties to match our ambition ahead of the upcoming Senedd election in May.

Children’s hospices are a genuine Welsh success story: delivering integrated care, close to home, for families facing the hardest imaginable circumstances. With the right support, we can keep doing what Wales does best, being a genuinely compassionate country.
