The world-renowned Atlas Mountains will be the scene for our most epic fundraiser yet.

Our all-inclusive and expertly guided trip runs from the 15th to 22nd of May and gives a unique Moroccan experience including reaching the summit of Mt Toubkal at a whopping 4,167m.

Adventure-loving Laura Worrall, from Market Drayton was among the first to sign up for the Morocco Trek and is buzzing for the experience.

Challenge

The 49 year-old mother of two, who is known for doing the odd crazy thing, said: “I’m really excited for it.

“Our marketing team spotted it via an email and they came to me asking what would I think about doing it? So I said ‘go on then’.”

“It’s good to get out of your comfort zone and do something with like-minded people for a truly amazing cause.

“It’s going to be hard, but I’m sure the positive energy of the team will pull us through when things get hard, especially with the altitude.”

Proud support

Laura is a Purchase Ledger Administrator for our fab supporters AR Richards Waste Management who even have branded hospice wagons. Their staff will be holding car boot sales and bake sales to help raise sponsorship money for her adventure.

Last year Laura even completed the 50 mile Cardinal Valley Hike in 24hrs.

She continued: “I think it’s going to be amazing and we’ll all be there to pick each other up when it gets tough and say ‘come on, one foot forward’.

“We’re all going to be there for the same reason.

“It’s a brand new event for the hospices and I would encourage anyone to sign-up to experience it to show support.”

Memories

Fundraising Team Leader Andy Everley said: “This is our most ambitious and adventurous challenge yet.

“We are looking for a few more fit and courageous guests to take on this once in a lifetime opportunity.

“Not only will participants make lasting memories but they will also be raising vital funds to help every local child and family living with a life-threatening condition to live their best lives.

“Expertly led, catered and planned, it really is one not to miss. Head to our website, download the full brochure and we’ll see you at the airport.”
