A fresh start for our Nantwich store We were delighted to welcome a social media star, a choir, hospice children and their families, proud staff and keen shoppers to the grand opening of our newly relocated Nantwich store. On Saturday November 22nd we unveiled our fresh new store on Swine Market and were joined by the families of Hayley, Freddie and Rose who all attend Hope House. Guest of honour to cut the ribbon was Mayor Mary Slinn who was joined by internet and TV personality, Jen Graham, aka Charity Shop Girl who came along to inspect the pre-loved fashion and homewares – she even even spent £100! Accessible shopping Our beautiful new shop, housed in the old B&M unit, now offers access to all abilities with a ramp and less steps and a clean, spacious layout inside. Mayor Slinn commented: “It was a delight and a privilege to have been asked to open Hope House shop in Nantwich. “The store is bigger and brighter than the old shop. More importantly, it is accessible to all, I am sure it will be a great success. “Hope House provides respite care for children across Cheshire, Shropshire, and Wales, so I would encourage everyone to pop along and see what is on offer, perhaps bag a bargain. “Talking of which I love the paper bags that the purchased goods go in such a wonderful eye-catching design.” Social Media attention Using her popular social media channels Charity Shop Girl, influncer Jen Graham challenged her followers to choose their favourite Christmas jumper from a selection she picked out on her visit. She also displayed some designer goods from the likes of Escada and Me&M that she picked up at a great price. The burgeoning Cheshire star, who can regularly be seen on This Morning, has been a big supporter of our hospices and regularly purchases fashionable finds – she even found time to visit our brand-new Chester city centre store and Vibe section recently. Music rang out Music on the morning was provided by South Cheshire’s own The Funky Choir who cheered-up passers-by and shoppers with their popular three-part harmonies. Our Retail & Trading Operations Manager Lindy Welch-Smart, shared: “People are changing the way they are shopping, and we are proud to be investing in Nantwich. “We enjoy great support here and are confident that this will help us to raise even more money to fund our vital services for local children and their families.” You can find the store at 10 Swine Market, Nantwich, CW5 5LN.
