We are delighted to announce that we have been chosen as the main charity partner for the 2025 Northwich River Festival!

This much-loved annual event is organised by Northwich Rotary in partnership with Virgin Media and draws thousands of visitors to the banks of the River Weaver each summer for a vibrant day of family fun and fundraising.

A Summer Spectacle

Taking place on Saturday July 19th 2025, the festival promises a fantastic line-up including a thrilling dragon boat race, a giant duck race, family-friendly stalls, live entertainment, and much more!

Celebrating a Special Anniversary

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the festival – making it an especially meaningful time to be chosen as charity partner.

Rotary President Elizabeth Walton said:

“This will be our 10th anniversary year and we are very proud to be supporting Hope House for the wonderful work they do.

“The event draws in thousands of people and we know the generous Northwich community will help to raise a brilliant sum whilst enjoying a family day out.

“As always, we are being supported by Vale Royal, Weaver Valley and Rotaract, with this being one of several events planned for the year.”

The dragon boat race is one of the most anticipated parts of the day, with teams of 11 racing from under Town Bridge to Weaver Way. It’s a spectacular, high-energy event perfect for participants and spectators alike.

Meanwhile, the ever-popular duck race will see 2,000 ducks released onto the water – and at just £2 per duck, supporters have the chance to win a cash prize while supporting an incredible cause.

We are incredibly grateful to Northwich Rotary for choosing us as their charity partner. Funds raised on the day will go directly towards helping local children with life-threatening conditions receive the vital care and support they need.

We’ll be there on the day with a Hope House stall, and we can’t wait to meet everyone and celebrate with the amazing Northwich community.
