Our Pam heads to Buckingham Palace We have received a Royal honour at a special event in London. Their Majesties The King and Queen Consort hosted a special reception at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday April 30th to celebrate community-based initiatives raising awareness about cancer and those living with cancer. The Welsh Government had been asked to nominate charities or individuals for the honour and Tŷ Gobaith was among the chosen few. Pamela Mathias (left) meets his Majesty King Charles Clinical Community Nurse Specialist, Pam Mathias attended as their representative and said: “I was incredibly proud to attend the Palace and represent all my colleagues at Tŷ Gobaith. “The recognition of our work in supporting cancer care in the community was a great honour. “It was a real day to remember.” Pam's official invitation from Buckingham Palace Director of Nursing for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices, Karen Wright said: “Pam did a fabulous job of representing the hospice, but also in her commitment as part of the team in providing this care that is so valued by the families.” Pamela Mathias (left) meets his Majesty Queen Consort Camilla Manage Cookie Preferences
