Our supporter Select A Skip, is once again stepping up as a Matcher for our Quality Moments Matter fundraiser for a fifth year in a row!

Select A Skip is continuing its commitment for the campaign that first began in 2021, then known as Final Moments Matter. They were among the first businesses to pledge a donation for the match-pot.

Their ongoing support, not only towards the Quality Moments Matter campaign but also several other events over the years since their support started almost 20 years ago, including the hospices annual Summer Ball, really has helped transform the lives of children with life-threatening conditions and their families.

Every £1 donated by the public during the 36 hours on November 23rd and 24th will be doubled by matchers like Select A Skip, meaning one donation, twice the impact.

James Keay, Managing Director, said: “When we first supported Hope House back in 2007 I couldn’t comprehend the impact that the hospices had on the children and families who needed their services.

“As time has gone it has become very clear how invaluable their services are to children and their families in the local and further afield communities and how every penny counts.

“18 years on we have seen that the care and support services are reaching even further afield across Wales. Select a Skip are proud to support the Quality Moments Matter campaign and will continue to support the incredible work provided by these two children’s hospices for many years to come.”

Select A Skip's Support Makes Magical Moments Possible

Our Fundraising Development Lead, Bekki Fardoe, said: “We need to raise an additional £500,000 to provide even more quality moments that bring fun and joy to every child, and we are so grateful for the continued support from Select A Skip who are a big part of the campaign’s success.

“Without that £500,000, we will be able to meet the clinical care needs of the children but would not be able to provide the extra special experiences like days out, therapeutic play and adventures that help children thrive.

“We want all children to be supported by specialist care staff who help them overcome challenges and create magical moments - all at no cost to families. Select A Skip’s support helps make that possible

“Our campaign relies on an initial injection of £250,000 of funding from our most generous supporters, like Select A Skip to create a cash ‘match pot’ that encourages the wider community to donate during our 36-hour campaign because it will be matched.”
