Four teenagers from Wrexham area have raised a fantastic amount for our hospices.

The quartet of life-long friends from Rosset, Millie Bevan, Leo Dowdeswell, Jack Green and Eddie Pearce took to the skies on Saturday 30th November for a sponsored tandem skydive.

Leaping from 13,000ft above Tilstock airfield in Shropshire, they raised a combined total of £3,088.

Comfort zone

Speaking of her adrenaline-fuelled experience, Millie said: “An amazing, yet utterly terrifying experience!

“Falling from 13,000 feet is definitely something far out of my comfort zone.

“But, I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to do this for such a good cause.”

Thrills

The friends have also taken part in other fundraising activities for the charity, including the Dragons’ Lair initiative at Darland High School and during the Coronavirus lockdown, Leo raised £2,000 by taking on a 10k run when he was just 12 years old.

Area fundraiser for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith, Bethan Young, said: “Thank you so much to all of the skydivers!

“A huge congratulations on raising such an incredible amount, we are so proud of them for taking on such a challenge.

“Their fantastic fundraising will help us support local children with life-threatening conditions to live their best life.”
