We're thrilled to announce that The Southwater Event Group in Telford have raised more than £20,000 for us in the last two years, and we couldn't be more grateful.

In 2023 employees from the group, which includes the Telford International Centre, The International Hotel Telford, Ramada Telford, Holiday Inn Telford and Stagecraft UK voted to support our charity for two years.

Since then, the Southwater Event Group staff team have organised bake sales and raffles; taken part in fundraising walks; completed skydives and much more to raise vital funds to help local children with life-threatening conditions to live their best life while receiving expert care.

A Fantastic Achievement

The total raised by the team is an amazing £20,145. 

Commenting on the total, Tom Gray, CEO of Southwater Event Group said: “I would like to thank all the staff at Southwater Event Group for their endeavours and enthusiasm for this locally based charity Hope House, who do such important work for families in need in difficult times.  This really is a fantastic achievement, and everyone should be very proud of their fundraising efforts, thank you.”

A Huge Difference

Dawn Ball, fundraiser for Hope House said: “We need to raise £10 million a year and  get about two month’s funding from statutory sources. That means for 10 months of the year we are dependent on public support – so important fundraising partnerships like this one with Southwater Event Group are vital to making sure we can be here for every child with a life-threatening condition, and their family. 

“The team has been incredible, from throwing themselves from planes, taking on gruelling treks and organising tasty bake sales. All this fundraising will go along way to making a huge difference for local children and families. We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Southwater Events Group for all their effort to raise money – it really does mean the world.”
