Success For Our Ladies Lunch An afternoon full of love, laughter and community spirit was enjoyed by all at our annual Bodnant Ladies Lunch. Hosted at the stylish Hayloft venue, the event raised an incredible £8,500 thanks to match funding through our Quality Moments Matter campaign. Highlighting the very best the of local produce, our social afternoon saw 70 ladies enjoy welcome drinks courtesy of Cariad Gin, sumptuous biscuits from Sweet Snowdonia and even a complimentary goody bag from Clogau. Special Guests We were joined by Michelle Hughes and Nerys Davies whose children Matilda and Bedwyr attend Tŷ Gobaith. Also in attendance was their friend Liz Williams, whose daughter Seren had received care at our hospice. Nerys gave a passionate speech on how we have changed life for her family and the extra care their son is given. Bedwyr lives with a very rare condition, Coffin-Siris syndrome, which affects only 200 children worldwide. Generous guests got involved in a silent auction, raffle and table games to add to the delicious two-course lunch. Community Spirit Organiser, Vanessa Marubbi shared after the event: “It was an afternoon full of love, laughter and community spirit. “We couldn’t do it without the kind support from or friends at Cariad Gin, Sweet Snowdonia, Clogau and of course, Olivia and the team at Bodnant – a very special thank you to you all. “The money our diners raised was doubled under our Quality Moments campaign, totalling a fantastic £8,500 which will go directly to support 265 local children living with a life-threatening condition. “Thanks to everybody who attended, and we’ll see you again next year.” Find out more about Quality Moment Matter here.
