Thirty two hardy hikers hit the top of Yr Wyddfa for a stunning sunset.

The team, led by experienced Mountain guide Merfyn "Smyrff" Jones raised a brilliant £10,000 for our hospices in the process.

The walkers set off from the picturesque village of Llanberis late afternoon on Saturday 27th July and in wonderful conditions reached the summit plate in plenty of time for a magnificent view.

Making memories

Walker Tamsin Jones from Llandudno Junction, said: "It was an epic walk and the best weather I've ever had for it."

Group leader Merfyn Jones commented: "Well done to everyone who took part and raised money for this wonderful children's charity."

All the participants received a goody bag and gifts from sponsors LVL5 Gym, Llandudno and some welcome hot soup and rolls at the Padarn Hotel afterwards to fuel up again.
