Organised by 16-year-old Efa Dafydd in honour of her late sister, Mabli, who passed away in 2022, the event saw around 100 working and vintage tractors take to the streets of Llanrwst.

Over 100 tractors attended

Between the entry fees and many kind donations collected along the way, Taith Tractors Mabli Dafydd raised a brilliant £6,310.

Efa said: “The day went amazingly well, it was truly unforgettable.

“It takes so much time and effort to arrange an event like the tractor run, but it’s all worth it.

“It brings me so much joy and comfort knowing that I can somehow help Tŷ Gobaith as a thank you for everything they did for my younger sister."

Efa continued “As an older sister to Mabli, I still feel huge responsibility for to try and keep her memory alive.

“The day and events such as the tractor run would be impossible without the amazing community we have here in Dyffryn Conwy and further supporting our arrangements and donating so generously.”

Tŷ Gobaith fundraiser Nikki Jones, said: “The communities around Llanrwst, just a stone’s throw from the hospice, are always so supportive.

“Efa has a heart of gold, and we are incredibly grateful to her for being the driving force behind Taith Tractors Mabli Dafydd.

“Thank you so much to all involved and everybody who brought out their marvellous machines in support.”
