Join Bikers To Pay Tribute To Little Leo The family of a young boy from Flintshire who passed away at just 13 weeks old are coming together to raise funds in his memory. On Saturday August 16th, the family of Leo Fish will lead a motorcycle ride with all proceeds being donated to our hospices, in gratitude for the counselling they received after Leo sadly passed away in 2017 from an undiagnosed heart condition. Parents Dan and Nicola Fish of Caergwrle, near Wrexham will host the now annual event which sets off from popular biker venue, The Old Stores in Pontblyddyn and are appealing for even more riders to join them. Keeping Leo's Memory Alive Siblings Sonny and Evie with Leo the lion teddy. “Doing this helps us keep Leo’s memory alive and we are hoping for an even bigger turn out this year,” said 36-year-old mechanic, Dan. He continued: “Hope House is a wonderful place and supported us with counselling. The money we have raised in the past has helped them develop their gardens. “It’s 50cc friendly too this year and anybody can come and join us for a £10 donation as we ride from The Old Stores over to Ma Bakers café in Whitchurch and finally to Hope House in Oswestry. “Our aim is to keep everyone safe, remember Leo, spread awareness of the hospices and hopefully raise a fantastic amount to help other local families.” Leo's Cafe The fun starts at 9am on the day with plenty of family fun, a raffle and refreshments at Leo’s Café inside The Old Stores. The café is owned by Dan’s father-in-law and named after Leo in tribute. The group ride itself sets off at 1pm. The venue is a Mecca for bikers in the area and last year’s event drew in over 100 caring riders who joined in and raised more than £1,000.
