We welcome the Welsh Conservatives’ clear manifesto commitment to ring-fence funding for children’s hospices in Wales and to meet half of Tŷ Gobaith's running costs.

This is a serious step towards the sustainable solution we and Tŷ Hafan have long called for.

We now urge other Welsh parties to match this ambition ahead of the upcoming Senedd election in May. After years of campaigning throughout this current Senedd term, families in Wales deserve certainty about the services they rely on.

Children’s hospices are a genuine Welsh success story: delivering integrated care, close to home, for families facing the hardest imaginable circumstances. With the right support, we can keep doing what Wales does best, being a genuinely compassionate country.
