A big employer in the Deeside area has donated £1,000.

Shotton Mill Limited, is nearing completion of its new state-of-the-art paper manufacturing facility and kindly chose to support us.

Presenting the cheque, Joanne Mandley, Head of Human Resources and Dan Johnson, General Manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to make this donation to such a wonderful cause,

“We have known about their valuable work for a long time and as a family-focused business, we know how important they are to the community.

“We hope to be able to support further in the future with manpower and volunteering opportunities.”

On behalf of the hospice, fundraiser Nicola Eyes popped along to meet Joanne and Dan to learn more and receive their cheque.

Nicola said: “This is such a kind donation, and we are looking forward to a strong partnership in the future.

“£1,000 can buy so many precious memories, experiences and respite for children and families facing the most difficult of times.

“Our mission is to reach as many families as we can and help them make quality moments together.
