Shingler Homes joins Quality Moments Matter A Shropshire construction business has signed up to support our huge 36-hour fundraising campaign Quality Moments Matter this November. Shingler Homes, whose head office is situated on the outskirts of Shrewsbury have signed up to become a Matcher on the weekend of November 17th and 18th by pledging £2,500 in match funding for the campaign. Quality Moments Matter will see the public and local businesses come together to raise a total of £400,000 through crowdfunding which will help local children with life-threatening conditions to live their best life, creating amazing moments of joy and fun which go above and beyond their daily clinical needs. For every £1 the public raise during the 36 hours local Matchers like Shingler Homes are pledging to help double it meaning one donation, will have twice the impact. Jeremy Shingler from Shingler Homes said: “Shingler Homes are pleased to be able to support the fantastic work that Hope House do. When we visited their facility in Oswestry earlier in the year, we were blown away by things they do there, the dedication of the staff and most of all the positive impact they are having on family’s lives.” Quality Moments Matter Bekki Fardoe, our area fundraiser, said: “We need to raise an additional £400,000 to provide even more quality moments that bring fun and joy to every child, and we are so grateful to Shingler Homes for signing up to be one of our generous Matchers. “Without that £400,000 we will be able to meet the clinical care needs of the children but would not be able to provide the extra quality activities such as days out and therapeutic play. “We want all seriously ill children to have access to adventures and the chance to giggle, play and thrive. “To never be told that things are impossible because they are ill, but instead to be surrounded by specialist nurses and therapists who help them to overcome challenges and provide opportunities to have the best quality of life possible. “Our campaign will rely on an initial injection of £200,000 of funding from our most generous supporters, like Shingler Homes, to create a cash ‘match pot’ that encourages the wider community to make a donation during our 36-hour campaign because it will be ‘matched’. We are so grateful that Shingler Homes have decided to join us and help make even more quality moments for local children and families.
