A huge thank you to super Spencer the six year-old fundraiser from Shrewsbury.

Spencer ran the Park Run 5k event on June 21st and raised a fantastic £653 for our hospices.

He was inspired to step-up to the challenge after a visit to his school by one of our fundraisers who spoke to the children about the work we do.

Spencer said: “They have to raise nearly £10 million a year to stay open.

“This is a lot of money and I wanted to help them raise some so they don't have to close!

“I decided to run a 5k because I like doing the junior Park Run 2k and I want to challenge myself and raise money at the same time.”

Thank you Spencer, every penny you raised will help us provide the highest quality nursing and respite care to children and families in the area who are living with a life-threatening condition.
