Trustees You can contact all of our trustees at [email protected] Steve Henly (Chair) Steve owns a specialty industrial chemicals business and a commercial property investment company based in Shrewsbury. Steve is also on the Board of an International media publisher based in London. Having developed a career in electrical and chemical engineering Steve has a commercial background, and particular expertise in sales and marketing. Steve currently Chairs the Hope House Children’s Hospices Board of Trustees. Kelly Miller (Vice Chair) Kelly is from Shropshire and works as a solicitor. Kelly was born and raised in the Oswestry area and has been a keen supporter of Hope House Children’s Hospices over many years, taking part in events and other fundraising activities. David Sharp David was appointed a trustee of Hope House in September 2015. He has been a full-time GP partner in Telford since 2005. He lives in Shrewsbury with his wife and three children. Gary Morton Gary is a West Midlands businessman who has been involved in raising funds for Hope House for 21 years. His organisation, GM Fundraising, has raised more than £2million. Married, with two children, Gary also enjoys cycling and playing the drums. He says his motivation for joining the board is to support the hospices, which have become very close to his heart. Graeme Harkness Graeme is from Mid Wales and a retired senior educationalist with experience gained as a Headteacher/Executive Principal in four secondary schools across England and Wales. He has an academic background in Science and ICT teaching, and was also an Assistant Director of Children’s Services with a local authority and a Senior Regional Director for School Improvement across the West Midlands. He is also a former Trustee of the Aneurin Bevan Leisure Trust. Dr Supriya Kapas Supriya is a pharmacist focussed on quality assurance matters for the cell therapies facility at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Oswestry. Supriya is from the Wrexham area and is a community councillor, as well as consulting on a number of healthcare issues for external bodies ranging from ethics and governance to disciplinary matters. Vicky Hazeldine I'm a qualified learning disability nurse and have been working in both health and social care settings for 15+ years. I completed an MA in Autism Studies and a large focus on my career has been supporting reducing health inequalities and increasing access for people who may otherwise have difficulties. Having lived in Shropshire for the majority of my life I'm looking forward to engaging with the local community and offer support where I can to help the Hospice deliver its vision. Andrew Hunter Andrew Hunter has spent more than 20 years in a mix of commercial, operational and leadership roles, from early work in technology and renewable energy to later helping shape major visitor attractions, music festivals and events. He enjoys bringing teams together, solving practical problems and creating great experiences for the public. Andrew is particularly passionate about sustainability and the natural world, supported by an MBA from Cranfield and a degree in Zoology. Outside work he’s a keen conservation supporter, an enthusiastic fly fisherman, and someone who simply enjoys being around people and places that make a positive difference. Jane Depledge Jane is currently a lecturer for the Open University and runs her own portfolio of small businesses based in Wales. She has been at the forefront of cancer and palliative care nursing for over 40 years both as a clinician, leader and as an academic and brings a wealth of experience to the board and to the hospice. Nicola Scott Nicola is currently the Global Head of Technology and Cyber Compliance, at J.P. Morgan, having held a range of leadership roles in Compliance, Operational Risk, and Investment Banking in the financial services sector. Nicola is based in Richmond, Surrey, though regularly spends time in Penmaenmawr, North Wales with her father. Nicola enjoys cooking, and keep active by doing Reformer Pilates, swimming and running. Most of all, she enjoys travelling with her husband and two sons, discovering new countries and cultures whenever she can! Huw McKee Huw recently retired from Local Government as the Head of IT and Digital Transformation. He has 40 years of experience in leading technology driven transformational change in both the Private and Public Sectors. Hope House / Ty Gobaith has a special place in his heart as his late mother Anne McKee was a lead/active fundraiser for over 35 years in Corwen and Dee Valley area. Huw and his family have followed in his mother's footsteps by fundraising on numerous events for Hope house Children’s Hospices over the last decades.
